The International Aviation League lias awarded its Lady Aviator’s Trophy to Lady Bailey for her Loud on-Cape flight, and the Aviator’s trophy to Colonel Arturo Ferrarin, of Italy, by a majority of two votes over Commander Kingston! Smith. The trophy for air navigation, which was not awarded in 1927. was awarded to Major Bosenthal, the Commander of the “Los Angeles,” and the trophy for 1928 was awarded to Doctor Eokener, the Commander of the “Graf Zeppelin.” The national trophy for England was voted to Bert Hinkler. That for Australia was awarded to Jvingsford Smith, while that for United States went to Eielson, the companion of "Wilkins. OTHER AWARDS. LONDON, Jan. 25. Among the medals of honour for navigators or passengers participating in notable flights are: Mr H. Wilkins (passenger), Eielson and Lieut. G. H. Ulm (second pilot to Kingston! Smith). Medals have also been awarded to Engineer Aviator Loeierva, the inventor of the auto-giro, and Lady Heath, in commemoration of her achievements in 1928.
