The most severe typhoon experienced in Philippine Islands for years, swept Southern Luzon Island, the gale at times reaching a velocity ol seventy mill's an hour. The damage is estimated at millions of dollars. Thirty per cent of the cocoauut crop is reported to have been destroyed. I.egaspi port town was flooded and the government buildings damaged. Several small ships were wrecked at various points along the const. Telegraph lines are severed and wireless reports of the (lest ruction are fragmentary.
