EXECUTIVE AIEETING. The Committee of the above met at the County .Chambers) at 4.35 o’clock yesterday afternoon. Present: Mr D j. Evans (President), Rev.,, KnowlesSmith, J. AV. Hayward, Messrs H. Stapleton, AV. E. Richards, J. Conning. Hi Sweney, R. Lynn, J. AV. Morris (sec.). Apology was made for the absence of Air Coles. Tlie minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed. The outward correspondence was ap proved. Airs Hannan, Greymouth, wrote offera special prize for character solo dancing under 12 years.—Received with thanks. Tlie Secretary stated there were eleven entries for the event. The Bristol Piano Coy placed a piano at the disposal of the Competitions free of rent.—Received with thanks. The Secretary stated tlie, piano would be at tho Theatre from the 16th inst. The Secretary’s report regarding the entries was satisfactory. The total received was over 300 and it was stated the Competitions would extend over four days, with the demonstration night oil the fifth day to wind up. It was left to the Secretary to arrange the time-table for tlie events. During the day-time sessions the ground floor only will be available to the public, admission by members or family ticket, or one shilling, children half price. At the evening session the charge would be 2s upstairs and Is downstairs, children half-price, or by subscribers’ tickets. Alesrs Lynn and Stapleton were appointed to tho charge of the front of tho house. Rev. Air Knowles-Smith was appointed Supervisor. It was stated the judges would be seated in the circle, and heating arrangements were discussed. It was resolved to ask Rev. Nelson AVright to accept a seat on the committee as a Viee-l’resident. The meeting rose at 5.15 p.m.
