GREEK CRISIS.

PANGALOS RELEASED. Australian Press Assn.—United Service ATHENS, July 11. General Pangalos, who was Dictator in January, 1926, and was overthrown the ensuing August and has since been a prisoner, has been released, following a Cabinet decision to the effect that his detention was no longer justifiable, in view of the dissolution of Parliament, and consequently the Commission dealing with the case were asked the attitude of the Government, re the elections. Al. Tsaldaris declared that there was no question oi an election, but it was only a manoeuvre to lengthen M. Venizelos’s retention of power, with the connivance of Coundouriotis and Aletazas.

Similarly questioned, he replied: “This is not a time for words, hut deeds.”
