HARIHARI CONCERT

(From a Correspondent) The Tennis Club concert party gave an entertainment in aid of the Chib funds which materially benefitted thereby. The opening chorus in yellow and black pierrot costumes was well sung and a taste of the great progress made by the party at vocal work. “To-night’s Alv Night A\ itli Baby,” featuring Miss Jean Graham and Air Frank Ford, was a pretty number. A musical burlesque, “Humourous House Hunting,” showed a very convincing Bolshevik in Air George Robertson and gave several actors a chance to amuse the audience. Aliss AA’innie Graham gave a pretty exhibition in the number “TEe Spanish Dance,” and the chorus closed this part of the performance, with a pleasing item. “The Aforry Month, of May.” A more serious effort at theatricals then followed, ‘Tilly of Bloomsbury.” an adaptation from lan Hay’s novel. Afr and Airs Clay gave a, delightful picture of middle-aged domestic life, with their daughter Tilly. This part was ably carried out by Aliss Saunders, who gave a well restrained and well balanced rendering of the part. Life was put. into the whole by Air Trethowan who took the part oi Bailiff Butler. This was the star performance of the evening and brought the house down several times. Minor roles were filled by Aliss Eva Graham. Air Frank Ford, Aliss Sylvia Berry. Afr Jack AlcTvay, and Afr George Robertson. Next a teashop scene with cabaret chorus and solo dance by Afiss Alice Finnerty, and another chorus, “She’s Got ft,” with a very pretty doll dance by the lady members. The full chorus then gave “Ukelelo Dream Girl,” “Pompom.” and a grand finale. Solos were rendered during the evening by Afrs Xortlicroft and Afr Tennent of Matainui.
