Veterinary Surgeons Bill. Lights on Vehicles Amendment Bill, Land Laws Amendment Bill and Local Elections and Polls Amendment Bill were received from the House and read a first time.

University Amendment Bill was reported from the Statute Revision Committee without amendment. Dairy Industry Amendment and Mining Bill were put through the final stages and passed without amendment. In Committee on the Local Government Loans Board Bill, Sir H. Rhodes introduced amendments, the chief of which provides that in the event of the Board declining to sanction Hie application of a local authority to borrow, the application may not lie renewed within a period of twelve months, unless in the meantime, there has been a material change of circumstances affecting the loan proposals. The Bill as amended was passed.
