The Central News Agency’s correspondent at Geneva reports that Tewfik Bey. in an interview, said he proposed that the League should create a neutral demilitarised zone in the Iraq division of the disputed area, the handing over of Divchi to Iraq, ami the conclusion of a security pact between Britain, Iraq. Persia, and Turkey. Ibis pact, would mean Turkey’s absolute resignation of her claim to Iraq, in defence of which Britain would then not need to -pend one penny more. He would prefer that Britain should exploit the .Mosul oil before any other nation. It is expected that the Council's Wednesday decision will virtually uphold the Brussels line. THE COUNCIL’S DECISION. LONDON, Dee. 15. The ‘’Central News’s” Geneva correspondent learns that the Council of the League held a hour’s secret session on the .Mosul question, and decided that .Mosul Ik' assigned to Iraq, on e inclition that the British mandate is extended for twenty-live years. Sir A. Chamberlain is stated to have telegraphed to London for a decision by the whole Cabinet.
