POLLARD’S PICTURES. DOUBLE STAB PROGRAMME. MONDAY. On Monday next Pollards arc screening another double star feature programme, Olivo Thomas is featured in Selznick’s latest comedy drama of Five | Act's, “The Flapper” and a special feature by Maurice Tourneur, entitled “My Lady’s Carter.” Maurice Tourneu has made a thrilling motion pic- ' ture out of Jaques Futrelles wellknown mystery romance, “My Lady’s Carter,” which is to lie shown at the Princess Theatre on Monday. The story centres round the- pursuit of a baffling international thief, known as 1 “The Hawk.” and involves the love affair of a young Englishman who was for a time suspected of being "the criminal, and the daughter of a railroad magnate. The plot is spirited in the extreme, and involves such thrilling I scenes ns the near crash of two railroad I trains, an exciting pursuit on the water in yachts and the escape of “The Hawk” by a leap from a second story window and his final end in motor-boat explosion. Wyndham Standing. Sylvia Brenmer and Holmes E.' Herbert arc. included in the east of the picture. Tt was produced with all of Maurice Tourneur’s gift for artistic and lavish attention to detail. Tn “The Flapper” Selznic.k’s latest comedy drama.-beautiful Olive Thomas is seen at her very best.
