The mother and 'another Maori woman were wheeling their prams on one side of the main road whieli was newly shingled in the middle. A ear driven hy a farmer’s wife, M'i;s S. Connolly, name along behind them. The mother turn?*] out of the track to the right while Mrs Riekns turned into the shingle. The ear also turned that way, and hefo v e it •stopped it struck the pram broadside on. and threw the infant into the shingle. Death followed shortly after f -oni concussion of the brain. The Coroner’s finding recounted the t®ds and added a rider that <"r drivers shofdd he licensed only on nroof of their ability to drive. ANOTHER MOTOR. FATALTTV WELLINGTON, .August 0. Another motor fatality occurred in the city to-night, Benjamin Victor Bevftn, son of Benjamin Bevnn, 1-1, Guthrie Street, Thonulon. being knocked down hy a motor car driven hy Ainsley Bertram Dower mechanic. The child’s skull was fractured, and he died 15 minutes after the accident. The boy was playing on the par vnent and suddenly ran on to the street. DhTDLTAR FATALITY. TIMARIT, August ?. An inquest was held at Temuka, today into the death of a rabbiter.
