ST MARY;S CLUB.
There was a record attendance at St. Alary’s Chib last liight. The euchre tournament resulted as folio"*: —Bent’s Ist (a tobacco pouch); Aliss M. Bee. 2nd '(a* sot handkerchiefs) Air. H. Harkoiv * : I July’s Ist (a dressing gown). Miss Afurphy), 2nd (a piece silverware) Mrs AV. Jones. After the prizes had been presented, a dainty supper was handed round. During the interval it was announced that- on next Wednesday night there would he 11 special entertainment, in the dub taking the form of a short euchre tournament. concert and dance. The entcrtuii.'.ent is being arranged by llm ladies Committee who have arranged for visitors from Reefton and orevmouth. Air. T- Hogan was then called for a' song which he gave (with its encore) with his usual efficiency. Air Lon Alderidgo gave a song and recit-a-teioii in fine style. Mr. A. Lawn ably officiated at the organ of music, and extras were placed bv M i *««*«•• Brer/:e, and A. Stopforth, Messrs T. TTeeiian, and G. Head acted ns M.C/’« The prizes for both last evening and next Wednesday night have been kindly donated and the Club is grateful to its well-wishers.
