PRINCESS THEATRE, THURSDAY
. There is to be a very fine vocal and instrumental conceit at the Princess Theatre on Thursday night under the ' auspices of the Overseas Club. The i Overseas Orchestra will supply the i backbone of the programme which promises to afford the musical event of the year The .Orchestra will render live j numbers, while solos and ducts will, be supplied by members ol the | Orchestra. 'This portion of the j entertainment will be very popular. | It will be supported by an excellent ■ concert part, in which leading amateurs of Greymonth and Hokitika will as list. Miss Edna Perry who won such high honors at the Christ- ' ehnreh competitions will render two numbers. Miss Hannan A.T.O.L. of Greymouth will sing - , and Miss McLean, the popular contralto, is also to appear. Mr A. E. King of Greymouth will render baritone sea songs, and thus add still further to the variety. The proceeds of the entertainment j are to assist the Overseas Club with 1 1 its patriotic work including help t.o ' defray the cost of the monthly farewell gatherings which are of course 5 all free to the public. This appeal by the Club should command a very - full house next Thursday.
