(BY TBLEGRAPH —PREfig ASSOCIATION.1! NAPIER, June 4. The Taupo correspondent of the Hawke's Bay Herald telearaphs that Ngauruhoe resumed activities at 2.40 this afternoon, emitting large volumes of smoke.

Following a frosty night the air is clear, and the view excellent. At sunset the summit of the volcano and Ruapehu were completely shrouded ty smoke, which stretched over 30 miles across the southern and eastern sky. The snow on the lower newt-hern edge of Ngauruhoe has commenced to melt.
