PERSONAL ITEMS.
A London cable states that Mr A. J. Fisher has been appointed Director ;of the Elam School of Art, Auckland, and sails in the Ruahine. He is 27 years old, and he is without administrative experience, but he is vigorous and up to date.
Mr Frank Reynolds, at present accountant to the Wanganui Education Board, has been appointed clerk to the Inglewood County Council in succession to Mr S. Nielson, who has resigned. There were twenty-six applicants.
Mr Justice McGregor, accompanied by Mrs McGregor and His Honor's associate (Mr McKenzie), will arrive at New Plymouth on Monday evening. Mr Justice McGregor will preside over the Supreme Court session, which opens at New Plymouth on Tuesday.
Mr James Dickie, aged 76, an old Taranaki resident, died at Wanganui yesterday. Mr Dickie was very wellknown in the Waverley and Otakeho districts, where he resided for many years. Deceased is survived by a widow, one son (Mr Walter Dickie, of Walton, Auckland), and one daughter (Mrs Isaacs^ of Wanganui).
