RIFLE SHOOTING.
The local club has challenged the New Plymouth Defence JRiMe Club to a shoot for the Taranaki Rifle Shieid, and the present holders have arranged a match for Saturday next, the 10th inst The following members of the local club have been selected to represent the Hawera Club in this match: President A. G. Robertson, Riflemen A. H. Guy, G. Harrison, L. Harrison, v. Smith, G. Cross, A. H. Jones, C. Murch, T. Peterson, A. E. Gorton. Emergencies: Riflemen E. Uttinger, VV. McCormack. The team will leave from Blake's Garage at mid-day.
