HOCKEY.
HAWERA LADIES' HOCKEY CLUB. -
At-the annual meeting of the Hawera Ladies' Hockey Club, Mr S. Catram presided over, ten members. The report and ; balance-sheet were read and adopted. The election of officers resulted •— Sr atlT' Mr H> A- Clement; president, Mr A. Grant (re-elected); vice-presi-dents, Messrs W. B. White, b\ C. bpratt, J. N. Anderson, J. Barley C Muich, B. McCarthy, A. G. Brodie H* L. Spratt, Gillanders, W. Bright" (H* -B. Buidekin, R. T. Bullock, P O'Deai Dr. Young;, Dillon, and Maslin. L. A. Bone (Mayor), Dr. Sinclair, J. R. Oorrigan, M.P.., W. M. Matthews, P. Bond, B. C. Bennett, Sellar, S- J Cattran, H. B. Gibson, Mesdames Morns, Pacey, Hoddle, Miss Buchanan; secretary and treasurer, Miss X Reidr delegates, Misses D. Machin and Clement, and-Mr Catran; committee, Misses Reid, E. Lyall, D. Machin, IX ■ Nairn, W. Strange, D. Clement; coach, Messrs F. Sage and Ebbetts. The subscription wr.s fixed at ss, and £3 3s was donated to the, Borough. Council towards ground rent. ■ A vote of thanks was passed to Mis& D. Machin; the retiring secretary and treasurer, and to Mr Renwick, last year's coach. A letter was received from Miss C. J. Ducker, secretary of the O^unakePihama Ladies' Hockey Club, stating that they are not entering a team for the fixtures. The meeting closed with rotes of thanks to the Borough Council fq r use of room, the press, and the. chair.
