MONTHLY MEETING?. At the ordinary meeting on Monday there were present Messrs Christenseni (chair), Williams, Corrigan, Grainger,, and Verry. Mr Homer (el«rk> and; Captain Tinney were also present. The Secretary of the Marine Department advised that no more applications tor removal of driftwood would be granted. The chairman was deputed to GQfite©! the taking of firewood from the river near the wharves, with the suggestion, that on only one day sho«l«4 the removal be allowed. T h* <*?irman and Messrs Grainger and Williams were deputed to interview the skippers on the question of lights on the mole, and to make arrangements for their installation The Secretary for Marine enclose* particulars of four dredgea and hoppers for sale and invited an offer for any one of them. The Acetone Welding Co. sent-par-ticulars or accumulators for marinelight and advised that their representative would be in Patea shortly DREDGING.
