LONDON, Feb. 26. The Times Constantinople correspondent says that the claim that the Turkish army is now able to successfully meet all-comers was made by the President, Kemal Pasha, in a.recent *peech at Smyrna, in tho course of which, however, he was careful to emphasise that Turkey had no idea of attacking anybody. He declared: "Our army is capable of facing every enemy, and each of its units Is so strong that it is^ certain of overcoming a corresponding unit* of whatever army to which it might happen to be opposed. Moreover, if one of our units opposed two enemy units, it should, if not metually defeat them, at least pin them so tightly to their ground that they would be completely immobilised. That is the great military principle which guided us in the reorganisation »f our forces, tit is essential that we «Engi to it, and so long as we do our country will be safe from, any insult.
