Received Dec. 29, 11.50 a.m j .;..'■ LONDON, Dec. 28. Arising out of a suggestion by the Prince of Wales, steps have been taken to organise a pageant >>f Empire at Wembly. A special meeting of repre-< eentatives #f the Dominions was held at the War Office to-day, when there was a preliminary discussion regarding the form of the pageant. It is understood that the special features sug-* gested are commerce, early explorers, glories of the Elizabethan period, Blake's exploits, development of transport, history of India, early settlement in Canada, Australia and New Zealand, missionary enterprise, the abolition of slavery, history of South Africa, and development of sport. Another feature which is being organised is demonstrations of rough riding in the , stadium. The organisers will shortly tour the Dominions, and also the Sudan, to obtain a characteristic exhibition from each.—Reuter. j
