' The gathering included many Chinese, from market gardeners to prosperous-looking merchants, all keen on cheering their countrymen. Mairching on the-field, the visitors seemed ungainly and clumsy alongside the local men, but in action they disclosed astonishing speed and skill as a team and individuals, and by keen and careful play they quickly registered two goals' to nil against tfce local players. Then the latter added three goals and looked like annexing honours till Ckfcia added a third goal, making a draw.
