PRIMARY SCHOOLS DIVISIONAL TOURNAMENT.

The divisional tournament in connection with the Taranaki Primary Schools took place on the Stratford 6iiowground. Results:— -v-.sf.'.v North played a draw with Central no score. South (18) beat West (nil). After a good forward rush Gieenhill scored a try, Green converting. Greenhill soon atter got over again, Green converting. Play had not been in pirogrea* very long when he scored again, Crawford converting. In the second spell West held their opponents and-played-with more dash. McCarten got over A n.,.th- c latter part, the kick at goal •"failing. v Central 3 beat West 0. South 3 beat North nil. Central 6 beat South 3. - North 8 beat West 0. At the conclusion of the matches an A and B team was selected, and they played off. The A team was as follows: Full-back, E. Chard; tkr^&s-quarters,, Watson, Brown, Sutton; five-eighths, Collins, Fletcher; forwards, Butcher-/ Knight, Sutton, Morrison, Crawford Fowler, Rowan (rover), Greenhill. B team: Full-back, Rowe; : threequarters, Nicholls, Glengary, McCarten • five-eighths, Morris. Lucas; half, Gudgeon; forwards, Young, T,nunt,Mcbonagle, Murfitt, Robinson, Breston, Smith (wing), Ewens. This match was of short duration. the A team scoring a try in the fifteen minute spell, thus completing a <* O od day's sport. - THE REPRESENTATIVE TEAM. After the A and B game the following team was selected to meet Wanganui next Saturday:—Cliard (full-biick); Watson. -McCairten, Sutton (three-/ quarters); Collins, Fletcher (fiveeighths); Lawrence (half); Greenhill; (wing for^rd); Butcher, Knight, Crawford; Morrison, Sutton, Fowler, Rowan (forwards1).
