LARGE ATTENDANCE AND GOOD
PRICES
At the unreserved dispersal sale of the ! pedigree Jersey herd of Mr Tom Linn, ' of Mangatoki the whole herd of 56 was put under the hammer, and an excellent sale resulted in all the stock being' cleared at good prices. There was a ■ record attendance or' buyers, and the majority oi the stock iel't the district, j The sale was conduced by Messrs' Newton. King, Ltd., Messrs K. Kirk, j and C. S. "Williams weilding the hammer. A marquee -was provided and the arrangements were all that could be desired. The sale was started up to time, and the whole catalogue was put through without delay. Twenty-nine cows averaged 74 guineas, seven two-year-old heifers 76 guineas, aifd seven bulls 34^ guineas, the gross total for the 56 lots being 3494 guineas, or a naverage of 62 s guineas. The highest figure was obtained i'or a cow Cream of 0.X., 360 guineas, which went to Oakura. Amongst the best other prices and the provincial buyers were the following: — BULLS.
