Buninato ininrove grading up ! with .....imported' sires the native cattle, i but the success.of this work in India ; has opened up another market for Ayr- . shires, and Mr, W.E. Smith, of Ed'ini.hureh.. has recently exported to that i country pedigree Ayrshire bulls from I "milk record sires bred, in the herds of l-Mr. Mackie. Dalfibble. and Mr: Semple, Sandhill. These, animals are in themselves outstanding, being well grown and handsome bulls. They have the best of milk record blood in their veins, and Mr. Smith is to be congratulated on selecting these particular animals for the introduction of Ayrshires into a new country, as they are not only stock which can stand the closest examination, but likely to leave , a. milking stock showing at least double the record with the cross breeds, and tnis. after all, is the only way to keep [•holer of a. market when once/it is secured. : ■";"■■■. :: yAx "■■ ■■-.■■
