Rebels in the Youghal area addressed a letter to the local council signed _ Flying Column," and threatening the immediate and permanent cutting off of the water supply to the town if four Irish Republican army prisoners, ! natives of Youghal, are executed. The < council decided to notify the threat to ! I The Daily Mail's Dublin correspondent states that the peace negotiations have called attention to the fact that Mr De Valera and Mr Lam Lynch control the largest force of Southern Republicans. There are a number of rebel bands unlikely to accept peace. These are led by local chieftains, somewhat.in the fashion of the old teudal barons, who are unwilling to bow to headquarters' authority, but roam the country preying on the in-1 habitants.
