CATERING PROPOSALS,

LONDON 7 Oct. 26. The council of the British Society of Meat Importers has forwarded to the Secretaries of the Colonies and Agriculture, the president of the Board of Trade, High Commissioners of the Dominions, and the management of the exhibition a resolution of protest respecting the catering proposals so far as meat is concerned. They state that every ounce required can be obtained trom Empire sources, and it would be a breach of faith if the proposed policy . ad^tting .foreign meat is carrfed out.—Times.
