OPERA HOUSE TO-MORROW.
"KISMET." "Kismet," starring the inimitable character actor Otis Skinner, will open at the Opera House to-morrow. This is reputed to be the greatest picture of the decade. The story of "Kismet," in the historic tAd city of Bagdad, calls for settings of nnnsual magnitude and picturesqueness. The scenes were literally transplanted to Hollywood. The expense incurred in presenting perfection of detail was enormous, but nothing was stinted, with the result that the a-udieaice goes hand-in-hand with Mr. Skinner through a real live Turkish atmosphere. It is almost impossible to paint with words a picture of the beauty aaad artistry of this setting, which is produced in unique splendour and stands out as the supreme achievement. It is dazzling in its colouring-, jbizarre in design, and awe-inspiring in its vastness. Never in all the history I of motion pcture production has there! heen a photoplay produced on such- a large scale and of such magnitude as the screen version of "Kismet,"- in which Otis Skinner makes his debut as. a film star.
