OPERA HOUSE—TO-NIGHT.
"A SPLENDID HAZARD." Admirers of Napoleon will find much !to interest them in "A Splendid Hazard," Allan Dwan's film production from the well-known novel of that name by Howard MaeGrath, for the story deals with an angle of the little j corporal's life which is not commonly; known. The story tells, briefly, of the! search of Karl Breitman, a man who! believes himself to be the direct de-' seendant of the former emperor, for a treasure buried on the island of Corsica I which was to be used in rescuing! Napoleon from exile. Breitman, be- j lieving himself to be Napoleon Vn., intended to take this treasure, divide it among his henchmen and satellites, I overthrow the Government of France, I and establish once more the Napoleonic . regime. Running through this photo- j drama is a tremsQdous love story—a j story of a woman's sacrifice for a man' —a story of unrequited love. There is; also in it all the thrill of adventure for' which the Harold MaeGrath stories are' famous. |
