Received Oct. 7, 9 a.m. LONDON, Oct. 5. w .The Daily Chronicle's Berlin correspondent reports an abounding prosperity of German industry. The Harkortsche Chemical Factory, Gotha, holds the record with a combined dividend and bonus of 150- per cent. Another chemical factory paid a dividend' of 30 per cent, and a bonus of 70 per cent., '^so that the shareholders will recover their capital on' a year's work- . ing. Another declared a dividend of 38 per cent., compared witli 20 per cent. , last year. One mining Company inI creased its dividend-from 16 to 30 »er ' cent. The engineering prosperity Vs, | indicated by the 50 per cent, of the Wotan Works, Leipsig. Among the minor industries tM Silbacher Sugar Factory returns 50 pen cent, and the Hildesheimer Indiarubber Goods Factories 50 per cent., plus 35 per cent, bonus/,' All these are selected from one day's reports.—Aus.-TSf.Z.
