BENZINE PRICES.

The fact that benzine had fallen to 2s* per gallon in England was mentioned to the Minister in charge of the Department- of Industries and Commerce, and he was asked if there would be any decrease in the Dominion price. Mr. Newman, who raised the question, stated that there had been a fall in American prices, and he pointed out that, dairy farmers were embarrassed by the high prices in New Zealand, so much so, that some of them were not using their milking machines. The Minister expressed his appreciation of the fall in the Home prices. He would be glad to look into the matter' and see if the conditions justified a reduction in New Zealand. It could not apply, he reminded the House, to stock held in New Zealand at" the present time.
