The match," though-a decisive win for Stars, was not very interesting, being {mainly a forward struggle, in which btars were much superior. The goalkicking of Sturmey was responsible j largely for Star's win. Sturmey in the first spell placed one very nice goal from a penalty, while Deane scored a try. In the second spell'Elthani made the pace hot and several times should j have scored, but good defence kept ; them out, and Stars, attacking strong--1 ly, Patterson ran in and scored behind the posts, Sturmey converting. From another penalty Sturmey again placed a nice goal. Eltham rallied towards the end. of the game and kept Stars on the defensive till Carlson, from penalties, kicked two good goals, and shortly after the match ended with the score showing a margin of Stars of S points ; JVlr F. Hooker ref creed.
