SOCIAL AND DANCE.

(From Our Own Correspondent.) A meeting of the ladies' committee was held m the Town Hall yesterday afternoon, when there was a large attendance present, to make arrangements for the carrying out of the catering tor the social next Wednesday night in the Town Hall. Strong sub-commit-tees were appointed for their respective duties. Record promises were received trom the citizens of Manaia and district to make this year's function a huge success. Tickets are selling rapid-1 iy. A first-class floor, supper, and Cosgrove s special orchestra, will be provided. The secretary, Mr. W. Badley has his arrangements well in hand, and no doubt the public will roll up on Wednesday night and make the social a onlhant success.
