KAPONGA, THURSDAY, APRIL 27

A very interesting programme has been arranged for this popular meeting on April 27. There wilt be* events of different kinds, but a great deal of keen enthusiasm will be centred round the seven-aside football tournament for the handsome shield given by Mr A. 0. Casey, one of the strongest supporters of the game in the district. A medal will go to each member of the winning team. These tournaments have proved a great draw at all the sports, and this promises to draw keen competition. Entries for this and relay race and other running and chopping events will close to-morrow (Thursday), with the secretary, P.O Box 45, Kaponga. Special attention is being paid to schoolboy events, for which good trophies are awarded. The footballers' relay .race will be run in football gear. The committee are leaving no stone unturned to ensure a successful meeting.
