ASSOCIATION POOTBALL.
At the annual meeting of the Taranaki Soccer Football Association the visit of the Australians was -the most important event forecasted. It was decided to write to the secretary of the Taranaki executive (MrJ Piper of Hawera), asking that a meeting of delegates from Taranaki clubs be convened tor an early date at New Plymouth to discuss details in connection with the proposed visit of an Australian team. Messrs Sheppard, Lawrence fcrskme, Johnson, and the secretary were appointed to represent the club at the meeting. A guarantee of £75 has been secured in New Plymouth to enable the match at New Plymouth to be • arranged. It was decided to communii cate with the Hawera and Stratford Clubs, asking them to secure further i support for the guarantee, this bein<r a l j condition on which the promises already received were given. The gentlemen 1 who signed the guarantee in connec- ; turn with the visit of the Australian team were elected honorary members of the club
