BATTLE WITH POLICE.

NEW YORK, Feb. 21.
At Pawtucket striking textile workers engaged in a battle with the police. Two strikers were killed and mairy injured. The Governor called out the military.
At Pavvtueket, Rhode Island, the police fired on a crowd of textile strikers before the Jenckes Spinning Company's mills, following a refusal to disperse. Two were killed and several wounded. The Riot Act was read and State cavalry is patrolling the Pawtucket valley.
