At Stratford on the 6th inst. young cattle, good heifers especially, still continued to attract considerable attention, and for this class values showed a slight increase. Heifers and cows of the Jersey strain and close to profit were keenly sought after.. Prices for other classes were on a par with recent sales. Store cows 28s to 375, freshconditioned store cows £2 Ss to £4 ss, fat store cows £5 10s to £7, yearling steers 28s. fat bullocks £7 to £10 2s, yearling heifers 38s to £3 15s. choicer quality heifers £4 2s 6d to £7 12s 6d, empty heifers £4 10s to £6 ss, in-calf heifers £6 to £7 lOs, springing heifers £8 to £11 10s, choice springing heifers £13 15s to £19 10s. extra choice springing heifers £26 to £26 10s, heifers (calved) £9 5s to £21, springing cows £8 10s to £12 10s quality springing cows £16 to £30.
