WAR TROPHIES EXHIBIT

—■ ■•■•■■ The collection of official photographs on view at the war trophies exhibition is attracting a great deal of attention. , flawera boys have recognised in the photographs many whose acquaintance they had made at the front and with whom they were familiar. One; photograph worth mentioning is that of Chaplain-Major McMenamin, who was a very popular priest with the New Zealand troops, both in New Zealand and France. He met his death while performing the last rites at the burial of soldiers." There was a good attendance at the exhibition yesterday, a large number of children being present from Tawhiti and OkaiawaSchools and from the Kaponga and Eltham Convents. The exhibits *re made much more interesting to the children by the explanations given by several gentlemen who had kindly placed their services at the disposal of the public. To-night a practical but perfectly safe demonstration will be given with the machine gun.*
