" The Rimu arrived at New Plymouth from Onehunga at 8 o'clock yesterday morning, bringing passengers and 100 tons of cargo. She sailed on the return trip in the evening. After next Thursday's trip the Northern Company will again replace the Rimu. with the Rarawa, which is due from Onehunga on Monday, September 19. The s.b. Rama is due to load in Wellington for New Plymouth on the 20th inst., and should be at New Plymouth on the 22nd inst.. with general cargo. The Waikawa is to leave Auckland to-day for Wellington, in continuance of her voyage from San Francisco. The vessel is due at Wellington on FrTuay night, and is to sail next Tuesday for Lyttelton, New Plymouth. Melbotfirne, and Sydney. She will load cargo at Wellington for Melbourne. The Easterner will leave Wellington on Friday for New Plymouth and Australia. It is expected that the Eastern Planet will take the October loading berth on the New Zealand coast for New York and Boston. She will probably go to Wellington first. The Dorset arrived at Now Plymouth from Dunedin yesterday morning, and was berthed shortly after 6 o'clock by the harbourmaster. The Dorset has 750 tons of English cargo to discharge, a large part of which is salt. The cargo to be loaded consists of 7000 bags of frozen meat, 300 casks of tallow, and 10,000 boxes of butter. The vessel is expected to He ready to sail for Wellington about Thursday night or Friday morning. Later the Dorset will load at Napier, Gisborne, and Auckland. She is expected to leave Auckland for Liverpool and London on October 4. The liner Athenic is due at Wellington on Thursday afternoon from Gisborne to complete loading. The Vessel is to leave Wellington tat daybreak next Thursday week (the 22nd inst.) for Southampton and London via Panama The R.M.S. Tahiti, en route from San Francisco, left Rarotonga at 4 p.m on Saturday for Wellington, where she will arrive next Saturday. The yessel ,is to sail from Wellington on Monday for Sydney, . The City of Sydney reft New York on August 31, and Newport News on September 4, cargo-laden, fox Auckland, Wellington Lyttelton, Dunedin, Adelaide, 'Melbourne, and Sydney. Tlie vessel is due at Auckland about October 3 and at Wellington a week later. The steamer Port Stephens, en route from Barry (Wales) will arrive at Auckland on Thursday.
