MAORIS v. PAKEHAS
(From Our Waverley Correspondent.) A football match of. more than , ordinary interest will take place on I Saturday next, August 13, when the i Wairoa Pakeha players will meet the Maori representatives, play to commence at 2.4 p.m. The following have been chosen to play: Maori team—Marino, Bunn, Pat, J. Davis (captain), Tangipo, Kingi, Rau Peter, Joe Tikihu, J. Whanau, Rowe, Tira Wipa, Jerry, Tiweha, Pullin, Jack Davey. Emergencies: Backs, N. Taiaroa, Jack Sullivan; forwards, Wii Taiaroa, Hurst, Aorere. European team —Gawne, Pairman (captain), Ross, Symes, Leo, Sullivan, j Train, Greig, Cruickshanks, Jury, ' ( Campbell, Stewart, Armstrong, Adams, A. Christensen. Emergencies: Cunningham, Roche, Morrison and J. McDonald.
