N.Z. MEAT PACKING AND BACON COMPANY (CO-OP.), LTD.

The exhibit by this-' enterprising co- j operative company makes a very fine I display and serves to\show the range of work done bvi them. It is one of the most striking exhibits in the show. A series of photographs on the stand give a good iaea of the extensive premises they have at their various branches. The Ngahauranga works are particularly fine, cover a huge area, and s fitted with all the latest improvements and with every conceivable device for' labor-saving processes. The company has, in common with all others, felt the financial strain, but a( vigorous share securing campaign has resulted in a large number of extra shares being taken up—ls,ooo in the Wa;ikato and 10,000 in the Wairarapa and Manawatu —and it is expected that a like number will be taken in Taranaki. There is a fine range of tinned and canned meats, beef, and mutton, luncheon ham, lunch sausage, corned mutton, lunch tongues, brawn, and many others so useful in the home. The company show casings for sausages, blood and bone and bone dust, pigs' toenails for glue, pigs' hair for brushes, which, serve to show the extent of the operations and how every part is utilised. On the bacon side of, the business/there is a remarkably fine display of sides and rolls of bacon, hams, and lard, all extremely neatly got up and arranged.; The whole makes an exhibit that would be a feature of any show. The stuffed ,pigs which crown the stall are an emblem of the business. Altogether it is an exhibit that attracts great attention and draws a great crowd of interested people. The representatives present will be pleased 'to give any information required.
