A letter from the Minister of Railways was read, stating that the club's request for delayed trains Was under consideration. -

Various sub:-cominittees were set up to arrange details in connection with the meeting. The secretary reported that nomina"tions, which close on March 2, were already icoming in well, and that some of the most prominent riders , were among them.

It has been decided to present the winner of .the New Zealand middleweight championship with a blue ribbon inscribed and finished in gold. This, together with the handsome solid silver cup, will be on view in Messrs Goldstone and Patterson's window in a few days. " The committee wish to announce that any amateur who has not already, won a motor cycle- race can compete, in the novice handicap without losing his amateur status. *■' ■ ■:
