At Okaiawa,-on Monday, we had a small yarding. Prices were as follows : Export bulls to £6, good cows to £8, others £3 to £6. •> At Eltham, on Wednesday, owing to the race meeting at. Hawera, there was a small yarding. Good lambs made to 15s. Bulls and cows sold at late rates.
On Friday, at Hawera, we had a fair entry of sheep and cattle. Bidding was dull and dragging, but the majority of the entfy found fresh owners. White-faced rape lambs' toi los 6d, medium lambs to lis, others I to Bs, export bulls £6 to £8, best cows £8 8s to £8 12s 6d, others £2 to io, mixed weaner heifers to £1 15s, Jersey do. to £4 lis. On the same day, at Waverley, we had,a good entry, of sheep and a small yarding of cattle. There was a godd attendance of the public, but few were buyers. .However, although prices were low, vendors in the most cases were prepared to sell, and practically everything was sold. The following were some of the sales: 106 4-tooth wethers 10s 6d, 300 4-year wethers 19s Id, 114 5-year ewes 16s 3d, 64 b f lambs 14 Sj pen do. 13s, small lambs 5s to Bs, export bulls to £5 10s, Jersey empty heifers £6. y .
