RIFLE SHOOTING.
Hawera Defence Rifle Club fired the competition for the Brunette Cup on Saturday last. Weather conditions were jjot favourable, the wind being very tricky, a good many misses being recorded. JRiHeman J. G. Ritchie, with the total score of 66, was the winner, VV. Colquhoun taking second place on xeo^, Unt ¥ ck; test ran S6 scores at 300 yards were: E. Ingram 31, W, Colquhoun 30, D. Thompson 30; 600 yards: F. Booth 30. The following are the scores: , " •
