THREAT OF STRIKE.
SHORT-SIGHTED LITTLE GR'otjp.
LONDON, Feb. 10
The Daily Express says there is ho need to take the threat of a strike over-seribusly. The affair is an unhappy illustration of what an impulsive., man, backed by a short-sighted little group, can do.
■' The situation is not regarded with apprehension inofficial Labour circles, where there is strong criticism of the action of Mr Bromley's union. * The Labour movement supports the demand for an enquiry, but is satisfied that it will be granted if asked for without threats.
The executive of the National Union of Railwayeh has summoned. a meeting in London'to-morrow to consider the resolution of the locomotive en-
gineers.
