(From Our Own Correspondent.)

The sympathy of their many friends is extended to'Mr and Mrs J. Webby in the loss of her father, Mr Hitchcock, who died recently in the Nelson district.

The Sunday School is holding a picnic at the Opunake beach. on Wednesday, 22nd inst. A 'lorry will leave Riverlea for the children, and two lady teachers will be in charge. It is hoped that as many as possible will roll up and spend a good day with the Sunday School children.
