DIVIDING GERMAN REPARATION

SPA, July 17. The Germans have signed the coal agreement.
Mr Lloyd George told Press correspondents that ,he regarded the conference as a great success, and he said the results would soon be apparent. A great advance had been made towards peace, and both sides had reached a better understanding of the problems. EVen the French, who at first were s«eptical, now agree that the conference was a success.
Referring to the effect of the Bolshevist successes, Mr Lloyd George said the German delegation were, entirely anti-Bolshevik. He pointed out that j disarmament was more important than | coal, and their whole future relations | depended upon it. He had undisguised admiration for Herr yon Simon's ability and courage. LONDON, July 17. An agreement has been signed at Spa between Grteat Britain, France, | Italy, Japan, Belgium and Portugal providing that the German reparations shall be divided as follows: France 52 percent Britain ■, 22 „ Italy ; 10 „ Belgium 8 „ Japan 0.75 „ Portugal 0.75 „ The remaining 6£ per cent, is reserved for Greece, Rcumania and others. Provision is also made for dividing the Austro-Hungarian and Bulgarian moneys. The Allies undertake to facilitate the issue of German loans dentined for Germany's internal requirements and the prompt discharge of her dent to the Allies.
