WHAKATANE HARBOR.

(BY TELEGRAPH PRESS ASSOCIATION.) WHAKATANE, June 16.

The Harbor Board approved of the report by the engineer, Mr Adams, containing a reference to the deep sea harbor scheme. Mr Adams advised the Board to determine its future intentions in order that the present operations may form part of a large scheme, as he considers there is a possibility of the construction of an inside harbor to accommodate overseas vessels. The Board resolved to promote an Empowering Bill to borrow £175,000.
