WEST INDIES CONFERENCE.
OTTAWA, June 15. The West Indies Conference is drawing to a close. It is understood that the tariff agreement provides for three scales of preference, ranging from reduction in certain articles to a free list for others, including some foodstuffs. Both parties state that a substantial preference for sugar is probable.
