The New York Times' Ottawa correspondent states it is understood that "the Canadian Government has asked Mr Taft to represent it on the Grand Trunk Arbitration Board to determine the value of the first 3 second, and third preference and common 6tocks in the Grand Trunk Eailway. It is said that the choice of Mr Taft is for the purpose of assuring English stockholders that the Canadian Government is" anxious to secure a most impartial arbitrator.
