Mr Newton King's sales last week j <ti pedigree Jerseys- were largely at- j tended, and some record prices were j obtained. At Mr Cornwall's sale the five-year-old cow Rosalind's Girl was purchased by Murray Broß. (Opotiki) tor 367gns. Belle Mabone, a six-year-old cow, was secured by Bert. Luxton (of Omata) for. 275gns, whilst Murray Bros, secured the youngj. cow Kotero for 201gns. Several other cows ranged from lOOgra to 175gns. In all tfae thirty-three cows submitted realise* 3401 guineas, an average of over 10& guineas. They were well distributedl^ throughout the North Island, and one' went to the South Island. The wellknown bull Holly Bank Squirs realised 220gHs, the purchasers being: Murray Bros." Eight yearling bulls by this sire averaged. 58 guineas, the total for the 42 animals submitted being, 4086 guliiieas. South Tairanaki buyers were: COWS.
