DURBAN, Nov. 1. At cricket the Australians in their first innings scored 158 (Collin6 76, Pellew 33). In their second innings'they made 341 (Taylor.Bl, Docker 45). Natal, in their first innings, made 93. Gregory took :nine wickets for 32. In their second innings Natal made 106. The Australians won by 310 runs.

TION LEAGUE
A meeting will be held in the Borough Council -*Chambers on Tuesday evening for the purpose of reorganising the Hawera branch of the New Zealand Sports Protection League. In the past the league has aimed at promoting a public opinion in favor of all legitimate outdoor sports and recreation. Its principal objects are to do whatever may from time to time seem advisable to extend the facilities for every honestly conducted sport, exercise and amusement, and to influence public opinion without regard to party politics in the interests of sport, so as to enable people to amuse themselves in all reasonable ways without undue interference. In the absence of the president Mr J. Gray will act as chairman of the meeting, and tHe general secretary of the league (Mr R. W. Shallcrass) will be present.
