j (BY TELEGRAPH —PRESh ASBOUATIOM.) ■ , ' ■ CHKISTCHURCH, Aug. 29. The wheat market is quiet and wili probably remain so till, the end of the season or til; the railway restrictions are removed. There is a fair quantity held by farmers, mostly Tuscan, which millers do not seem anxious to handle. The Government will take all of it at the end of October at 6s 9d. Oats are offering more freely and the market shows a weaker tendency. The same, remarks, apply to chaff. Little barley as offering, and there is no change" in values. 1
